Xerjoff Zefiro

Xerjoff XJ 1861 Zefiro is a unisex oriental spicy fragrance launched in 2015 and created by perfumer Mathieu Nardin. The composition blends resinous, spicy, and honeyed accords into a refined and mysterious olfactory profile that embodies the grandeur and spirituality of ancient Rome.

At Esxence 2015 in Milan, Xerjoff introduced the XJ 1861 collection, dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the unification of Italy. The collection includes three fragrances—Renaissance, Naxos, and Zefiro—each representing a different facet of Italy’s heritage. Zefiro is inspired by eternal Rome and its baroque alchemy, transformed into a mystical fragrance with an almost esoteric aura.

The composition opens with elemi resin, bergamot, artemisia, and white wine, creating an enigmatic and airy introduction. The heart reveals cardamom, cinnamon, carnation, and iris, adding spice, floral elegance, and depth. The base closes with incense, woody notes, amber, and rich honey, delivering a warm, spiritual, and magnetic trail.
